Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
Yeah, can't see anyone taking up the sub offer for T'ien Ch'i now. I had a go at finding a sub, but as Homer Simpson would say "I tried and I failed, the moral is never try"
My vote now is to set T'ien Ch'i to AI. That has to be better than just letting them stale it out. They'll probably just be Demon Monkey food soon anyway.

Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
This turn didn't go at all as planned, but the one thing I don't get is why the archers aimed for the commanders, you couldn't have had the bogus gang orders, I think.
Ok, since I've been in war since turn 10 constantly, saved Pangaea from Neif. without a months peace I'd enjoy some help against this Fomorian outbrake!
Take a bite of Fomoria!
This years bounty is 10 gold for Fomorian giant, and 50 for Fomorian king, and 100 gold and 3 gems of all kind to the one that takes one of Fomoria's forts.

Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
??? Everything went completly wrong,
I didn't put troops on move and patrol but they somehow decided on doing that anyway, I was sure I ordered some other thing that didn't go as they were supposed to???
And on another matter, my congratulations to Master Miagi, you lured me like a damn fool, you couldn't have done it better!

I, as Lanka, have declared war on Fomoria. We've enjoyed them as a neighbor, really, but the time has come Hostilities will ensue in 2 more turns.

Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
Yes, the Fomorians are not too surprised by the war declaration from Lanka. I can't say it is a welcome change to the relationship between our two nations, but maybe it is good that at least now Fomoria has a chance to de-wheel the formidable Lankan war machine.
The Fomorians also hope they can prove to be far more worthy foes to Lanka than the pathetic efforts of Arco and T'ien Ch'i. As the rulers of both simply run away at the first sign of trouble, while their troops laid down, died, and ended up in the monkey feeding trough!
It's time for 'FreshMeat' to have it's own version of the credit crunch! Will anyone remain unscathed?
Calahan, Lord of Fomoria
ps Anticipatient. I'm still very much a newbie regarding Dom diplomacy and customs, so to avoid any problems regarding NAP cancelations etc, here's my interpretation of the procedure. Game is currently on turn 41-
Turn 41 (received in-game cancel 3-turn NAP notice, so is therefore Turn 1)
Turn 42 (Turn 2)
Turn 43 (Turn 3)
Turn 44 (check the battle reports for spilt monkey blood!)
Let me know if your interpretation is different to mine. You've been a very good, and honourable neighbour/friend, and looking forward to a well fought war on both sides
ps Executor. Can't say everything went wrong for you last turn. That mounted guy with the lance certainly deserves some credit! A very impressive critical hit I must say. And I'm dis-appointed that I won't get chance to question the other guys I lost, since I'd love to know who's scripts they were following!
Also, the battle where I seemed to target your commanders with my arrows was triggered, I think, by either your blood slaves (as they are counted as viable 'fire rearmost' targets) or by the darkness making my precision so bad that the arrows were in fact just miles off target! Pretty sure that stealing Bogus mate's 'Fire Commanders' script is a well accepted banned exploit, and I'm not the sort of Dom player who tries to win at ANY cost.

Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
Bogus gang is in my lands since turn... 15 or so, never had the time to send someone to kill them, had too much going on, and when I finally thought I could have a couple of turn peace to build up vampires and such, you attacked so I guess this game is as well as over for me, but I'ma give you hell before I go under!!!
Calahan, If you are referring to battle in 34, they weren't supposed to attack you, don't know what went wrong, that was pretty much the last of my sacreds and If I wanted to attack you I would have blessed them.

Re: FreshMeat - new thread, and game started!
Executor. If you check the battle order for (34) in the last turn, the first battle happens in the magic phase, so when your troops arrive during the movement phase, you've already lost control of the province, so your army wasn't able to defend your fortress. They therefore attacked my army instead.
The critical hit I mentioned above was in reference to the battle in (43). Big unexpected Ouch!

Hi, I just found out that I lost my best friend of more than twenty years... I request a 72 hour hold. I just need some time to mourn.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll delay it now.
