Twiceborn Globals
Lets say that we have a powerful (live, human) death mage (Say, level 6 or so) who has the twiceborn enchantment active on him. Let us say that he then casts a global. So, we have a twiceborn mage with an active global. If he dies, turning into a wight mage, are the globals deactivated?

Re: Twiceborn Globals
Generally this should be posted in the regular forums.
I have tested this with IMMORTAL units, and when they died, the global did not go down. I assume the same is true for twice born, or maybe the bottle of life.

Re: Twiceborn Globals
On a related note, if a mage casts a global, and then is charmed, does the mage's new owner get the global as well?

I don't believe anyone has ever tested that.

Re: Twiceborn Globals
Interesting question. I ran a test and it turns out that the nation the mage belonged to when he cast the spell still gets the benefit of the global, not the charming nation. The mage is still tagged as having cast a global and if he is killed then the global is dispelled.

Re: Twiceborn Globals
interesting... how about if the mage is enslaved? I would think the global would go away as he is no longer a commander...

Re: Twiceborn Globals
Hmm, it looks like the global still stays in effect. Though the unit is no longer a commander it still is tagged as having cast a global.

Re: Twiceborn Globals
That could be useful for team games, I think. Put up a global, then get the caster enslaved. Keep them in a castle, and they'd be immune to assassinations, old age etc.

Re: Twiceborn Globals
I see the point about protecting against assassinations but I think they would still be effected by old age. In my test the Pan I enslaved started suffering from old age once he was a regular unit and didn't have his nature magic.
