Re: Joker: new game, new theme
I can't find the folder where my created pretender is supposed to be... The manual said it should be in /savedgames/newlords but I can't even find the /savedgames folder... I'm using a vista operating system- are they hidden folders or something? I can still use the pre-created pretenders in my games... thanks in advance.

Yeah Vista puts them in a funky place due to the "User Account Control" feature. Check under "\Users\[your login] \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Dominions\". You should find what you're looking for there.
Or you can turn off UAC via ControlPanel->SecurityCenter->Other Security Settings. Then when you save games or pretenders, they'll be under your program files directory like you would expect.

Re: Joker: new game, new theme
Find the folder Dom3 is stored in, and within that is a folder called \savedgames.
I'm not familiar with the Vista folder structure, sadly. A trick that works in XP is to find the shortcut you use to launch the program, right-click and select Properties, then click on Find Target.
Edit: Ninja'd! And by someone with knowledge of Vista.

Re: Joker: new game, new theme
Welcome abord laddy, Ha, ouch, Ha, Ouch, ha, Ouch. Great, Tifone's gonna kill me with laughter before we even start. Tifone I would like to appoint you second in command, that way if someone drops a safe on me the game will continue. Well back to work. Yuch.
PS. If you are killed, You can still post. the downside is the comics worst fear, no new source material. for example I fully intend to rename the mages that I mind control. If I'm dead I have none so that plan would have to be thrown overboard.

Re: Joker: new game, new theme
My friend, being your lieutenant would be an honour for me, but I'm a complete noob and already admining' my first newbie MP game (Principe); so taking your place here when Abysian troops will descend upon you like a ton of bricks might be far above my abilities. (Note to myself: not the best metaphore, a ton of bricks sinks in R'lyeh's water )

Then again, so do Abysians, so it's probably not as bad as you think. The problem is getting them out hot and fresh like before. Nobody likes a soggy Abysian... except us water nations that is.
