Re: Origin - new MA CBM game (Full... upload pretenders)
I was in several blitzes a few years ago, but I've never been in a non-blitz MP.
I followed the directions on the Llamaserver FAQ, and a minute or two later the Llamaserver page for Origin updated to show Ashdod as having a pretender uploaded. But the directions say that I should receive a confirmation email after a few minutes. It's been almost 4 hours now, and I haven't received one. Which doesn't matter of course. But if I can't recieve my turns, that might be a problem...

Yeah, it doesn't send me that confirmation letter for uploading my pretender either. But I still have no problem with it, and it will start sending confirmation e-mails when you start sending turns.

Re: Origin - new MA CBM game (Full... upload pretenders)
Hmm, strange.... I didn't get one either. I'm pretty sure it used to do that. Perhaps it stopped working at some point and llama doesn't know about it. I'll try to find out.

Yeah llama confirmed that the notifications stopped working recently, and he hasn't gotten around to fixing it yet. Just make sure your nation shows up on the game page after you send the e-mail, and everything should be ok.

Re: Origin - new MA CBM game (Full... upload pretenders)
The game has started! I've received my first turn
Any rules I need to know quick? I presume mercenaries are allowed? I presume casting wish is allowed? It says all other settings are default, though I notice that renaming commanders appears to be legal.

Yep, good luck to all! Only restriction I can think of is... don't copy the "Fire Commanders" from bogus. Other than that anything goes.
As far as renaming commanders, I must have missed that when setting up the game. I don't think it has a big impact though, so not worth a restart.

I've never heard of that exploit, what is it? And how do you know if someone uses it?

Re: Origin - new MA CBM game (Full... upload pretenders)
The archer from the event where Bogus the troll attacks one of your provinces has a "Fire at Commanders" command. If charmed, the command can be copied to other commanders that shouldn't have it. It's likely you can tell that someone is abusing it by running the game with the -ddd flag. Perhaps it's even been fixed now. I couldn't find it on the bug list.

Re: Origin - new MA CBM game (Full... upload pretenders)
Anything goes? Have Mists of deception been fixed then or is considered ok? The movement exploit thinghy whatever it was is ok? There are some other examples I guess. I just mean "anything goes" could be a bit risky to say.
Perhaps you should reserve yourself the right as admin to interfere in case of extreme and obvious exploits/cheats?
Though I agree we should be as liberal as possible.
