Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
I got a worse turn.
Does everyone know they need to delete any turn 26 .2h file they had previously created? Otherwise the game gets really screwed up. When I opened the turn and forgot to delete the old .2h, I could see a magic item that should not exist according to the .trn file. So I deleted the .2h, and everything is normal now.
Edit: Oh, your admin email pretty much said that already. But since you didn't explicitly say to delete the .2h file, I'll leave this post up instead of deleting it.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
I am not home to get my turn. However, I was the victim last turn of 9 remote spells, and 17!! assasination attempts. Of which, only *1* worked.
So I am going to ask for a re-run myself if my turn is significantly horrible. I got lucky once; making me have to be lucky twice doesn't seem fair.
In cases like these I think it should run until all are satisfied the results are reasonable.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
Chris, I'd prefer not to turn this into some sort of Mulligans game. Otherwise we'll just be re-running the turn until everyone is happy with the result, and that's not going to happen if there are any fights going on. And there are obviously fights going on.
The turn was not originally rehosted because someone didn't like the results, it was rehosted because of a bug. No matter what happened in the original turn, like getting a nice magic item, or surviving 17 assassinations, it needs to be treated like it did not actually happen.

Didn't know that was a public post. Please delete for reasons I will explain.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
Chris's offline explanation, which he prefers that I do not disclose, does help explain why he wants to re-run the turn.
However, in my opinion, it does not justify re-running the turn. But anyway, it's not for me to decide.
So Chris, I'd suggest you either just publicly post your reasons here, or drop it and move on.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
Personally, I'm opposed to all rollbacks on practical grounds - people inevitably end up failing to replace .2h files or otherwise sending in corrupted turns.
Why is everyone ganging up on *me*? I've am war with both of my immediate neighbors *and* Caelum. Micah is the one with an unhealthy number of MP wins - gang up on him!

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
The Bogatyr trading company is proud to announce that its mages have mastered the creation of items of great power (Const 6).
We are happy to make a wide variety of magical trinkets available. More powerful items will run a premium of course, and will also be subject to the availability of our master smiths. Please send specific requests by PM, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Additionally we're trading death gems for earth and/or astral while supplies last.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
Clarification:
Chris, I suggested "drop it and move on", meaning drop your suggestion to re-run the turn one more time, and move on with the game. I wasn't suggesting that you drop out of the game. Sorry, the wording is kind of similar.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [starting!]
Damn. Seriously worse turn than before. I demand all my stuff back from parties not to be disclosed, provinces I lost due rehost back and enemy units I didn't get to kill this time to die.
