Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
Nope, in LA Kohen (or Kohen Gadol) don't eat pop any more.

Anymore? Since when? I played Gath in Kingmaker, and I can assure you, my Kohen Gadol were in fact eating people.

Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
Well I haven't really noticed yet, but there isn't any flavor text saying they do.
What about a rainbow bless along the lines of E4-6, F4, S4? I also think that in a blitz game going F9W9 might actually be worth it considering their low cost, or maybe more like F9W6. I did think that there was a definite lack in regards to killing power, but that was probably just me being used to the Giddites or whatever the giants are.

@JimMorrison:
Well, I played Gath in ... what did I play Gath in. Methadone. And they didn't eat people. It's your imagination, or you were using some kind of mod that gave LA Kohen Gadols devpop.
And I just tested it, and I can assure you back , Kohen Gadols do not eat people.
Were you blood hunting with them? That will decrease your population of course.
@Trumanator:
With just 1 attack, F9 is not worth it IMO. You have S3 randoms already, S4 is not going to buy you a lot. You could just go with an E9 Cyclops, and good scales.
For offensive firepower, Flaming Arrows is a good bet, to give you some army power in addition to your thuggery.

Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
I never had the territory or the income to actually start up my Blood economy. 8 \
But once I had about 10 Kohen hanging out, waiting to be geared, I noticed that my pop was no longer growing in my capital. Like I said, it's a small effect (if I didn't imagine it). I think I only had 1G, so 10 Kohen to offset that. < shrug >

Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
Well I was thinking S4 for the rings, unless you think it would make more sense just to empower one of the S3.

Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
Yeddeoni can forge Crystal Coins if given boosters, then give the coin and a cap to an S3 Gadol and he can make rings.
Unless you're thinking of an E4F4S4 Forge Lord for super-cheap rings, which sounds like a decent idea.

Re: Gath- What does it have going for it?
Gah! I keep forgetting people who have extra misc slots! First I mess up my master lich and give him S6 instead of S5, now I'm forgetting that extra the Kohens get!

100% SEF2 and 10% SEF1 means you've got about 1% chance of an S3. You might get lucky, but you'll need to be thinking about empower, coin and cap to get to rings with the Gadols.
