Water Colony mod
Awhile back, I downloaded the Water Colony mod off of tke SE Wiki site. Now I want to incorporate that into the Balance Mod, and maybe a few other mods as well. What do I need to do so that the mod will work with others?

Re: Water Colony mod
Generaly, to merge two mods, the method is:
copy the bigger mod (generally Balance mod) and edit its files to include modifications from the other one.
With water colony, you will have to look at least at planet types, systems composition, tech levels and components.
good luck!

Re: Water Colony mod
I was looking for a more specific answer. What exactly do I have to modify, and what about any pictures? I've tried copying & editing some of those listed text files, but I'm not sure of I'm doing it right. I sure wish there was a modding tutorial for SEV like there is for SEIV.

Re: Water Colony mod
SE5's included modding PDF covers the bulk of what's in the SE4 modding tutorial. You don't get the random bits of collected wisdom, but the explanations of all the data file attributes are there.

That's fine, if I can find the printout. Since I'm a poor state employee of Florida who hasn't seen a pay raise in 3 years due to our declining budget, I don't think my boss would look too kindly at me if I had to reprint it.

Re: Water Colony mod
Still can't find that printout. I'm still having trouble figuring out what to do. I'll keep trying until I get it to work. The major thing I want to do is add the water planet as a place to colonize using the Balance Mod, but I can't figure out how to do that. Any ideas would be helpful. I don't have a lot of spare time to try to figure it out.
