Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
So basically the problem is that everyone is counting on other people fighting while they'd be left in peace, and then conquering the ruins.
Mexican standoff of a kind, resulting in a win by endurance.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
It's true, if no-one intends to fight, the game has ended in a stalemate.
I'm inclined to say that this doesn't = victory for QM/Micah, though, as if they tried to conquer the world I'm not at all convinced they could do it.

Ok, so I think that declaring the game finished with a draw will be best then. Does it sound right?
I think it will be better to tweak the map, and mod removing gem-gens and start 2nd edition.

Here were not insane, I think. 12/26 VPs to win.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
You know, here I'd completely forgotten the actual victory conditions. I'd think that QM/Micah could jump that many VP pretty easily, actually.
So I'd be willing to concede on that point, but I still think VP accumulation works better. How many VP would QM/Micah have accumulated by now? Like 50 or something?

Accumulated VPs don't work though really. At least not that in-game ones. You get 1 every mid-summer month for controlling VP.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
why don't you guys play for a few more turns, have micah and qm show their stuff, and see how it lies after the dust clears? It should be pretty clear whether or not they have a bead on some ineluctable march to victory.
otherwise, end it as a draw, as surely all the participants aren't conceding.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
Works for me, although 12 VP between them shouldn't be hard to reach.
As for VP accumulation not working - that's exactly how VP accumulation is *supposed* to work, you get 1 VP / VP province / summer.
I find that requiring twice the VP on the map (that'd be about 50 in this case), causes games to end in this very late stage, so you get to see the end game but it doesn't drag on intermeniably. YMMV.

Re: Preponderance - Big Team Game! [1-2 subs needed!]
I just got a new turn file .... so that's the plan, then? Caelum is going for the win or are Micah/QM not playing any more either? Can we set anyone who stales this turn to be AI?
