Re: Rise of the Remorhaz Society
Well, I decided I had to get something down, but I didn't have time to play a turn, so I just provided a background story. I guess it worked out pretty well. I'll try to slip more of these in. If everyone likes this narrative style better than the turn report style, I'll try to head more in that direction, or I can keep it the way it is currently where I mix styles. As always, suggestions/comments are always welcome.
Thanks for reading, everyone!

Re: Rise of the Remorhaz Society
great post sachmo...i like your mixed style...you should add these narratives randomly in your future Posts cause they are great but your turn based reports are great too so keep them coming. PLZ!

Re: Rise of the Remorhaz Society
Sachmo, this is my first post on this thread. Your work deserves a six star rating (on a scale from one to five).
I think the turn report is the 'meat and potatoes' of your story, I for one want to know how things are moving along for the Remorhaz people. That being said, a few background Posts now and then liven up the story. So I guess I like both kinds, but I'd like the reports to be more than half of the story.

Re: Rise of the Remorhaz Society
I like to see a mix. Game reports are good for the main action, but background and subplots make for more variety and individuality. The hardest part of writing game reports is keeping them from all sounding the same.
I haven't done as much with subplots so far in History of the Galaxy II as I'd like to.
[Edit] Oops, forgot to stroke Sachmo's ego. You're doing a great job here.

I think he's having too much fun interacting with gasp humans in the HotG game to play the lowly AI in RotRS.
