Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
KietSensei - see my post a few posts up.
Vanishag - I also don't know what you mean. I renamed the tga file, and altered the copy of the .map file on the server to point to the renamed file. Your .map files are irrelevant, and are not even used - only the host needs the .map file (which allows for secret setups). All of this should have nothing at all to do with land starts. Did you start on land?

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
I'm ok, but other players' capitals are shown on the map (with a crown), and there is a crown on province 88, a land province... but maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
No, the crowns have nothing to do with capitals. just make sure you rename the .map file without spaces, and we should be all good.

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
Frozen Lama of R'lyeh, the capricorns send greetings and request an exchange of envoys. Shall we be neighbors? Or will you force us to cleanse the water of your kind?

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
Ryleh has no need for envoys. we can speak to your people while they sleep. kill them while they sleep too.. for now though, your people shall sleep peacefully

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
Argh. I wasn't able to submit my turn this morning because I had to conduct some diplomacy with Rlyeh - now Yahoo mail is refusing to upload attachments. Could the turn be delayed with the knowledge that it'll resolve as soon as yahoo lets me upload my turn file? (Presuming the other missing turn also gets submitted soon).
Edit: I'm not going to explain the stupid I had to do to get it submitted. Lets just stipulate it was stupid and move on.

Now you understand why it is dangerous to talk to Ryleh. They can wash your people's mind and make sure they cannot take your order

Re: Water Total War (Pretender Design)
Hey guys, me and Trumanator will be on vacation from the 16th to the 25th of this month. sorry to have this happen so soon into our game, but we didn't get all that much advance warning. I have a friend who *could play for me, but he is not a forum member. Trumanator is not so lucky.
I'd like some feedback from the other players as to if they are willing to put the game on hold for the 9 days we are gone. if everyone is against it, Trumanator can try to find a sub, and my friend will play MA r'yleh, but someone else will need to take over the admin of this game at least temporarily.

Its really too bad your vacation isn't like 2 weeks later or I'd second the motion...
I'm getting married at the end of July, with a honeymoon to follow in early august. I have a friend I could pass my turns off to during the honeymoon, and I figure that's probably what I end up doing - wasn't going to ask the game to be delayed for that. Assuming I can't find some way to bring the game with me to Wales... (no, my fiancee would kill me). Its 10 days - i figure I'll miss 5 turns since we'll probably be up to ~2 days/turn of hosting time at that point.
So consider this a public service announcement rather than a request for a delay.
