Trivially easy UI improvement request
Show the percentage of commanders and units in use somewhere.

Re: Trivially easy UI improvement request
What do you mean? Percentage of total number of commanders who are in a province?
In nation overview screen?
Of all units? Of units of one kind? I mean I don't really need a percentage of units if total number of units is 100 but they are 99 Mictlan slaves and 1 Tartarian, do you count the slaves as 99% of my army or the lone tartarian as 99% of my actual power?
I wonder what would you do with that kind of information?

Re: Trivially easy UI improvement request
I think he means percent of commanders who have received an order this turn. (Ie, are not defending)
Speaking of trivially easy UI improvements - when you get a remote site searching message, could the message (1) go to the province that has been searched, not the location of the searcher, and/or (2) give the *province number* of the searched province in addition to its name. (When there are two or three sites of the same name, and you have to hunt all over the map to find just one, it gets aggravating in a hurry).

You don't. You can go in the nation overview screen, which is still a pain, but far easier than scrolling the map.
Multiple provinces with the same name is also a sign of rushed map design, except for random maps, but even these can bse saved and provinces renamed by hand.

No, percentage of the *TOTAL* units in use--the caps in the game beyond which recruitment & summoning will simply fail without any message.

My preferred solution is to rename the provinces (I wrote a Python script) so that the province number is in the title. When I find that someone cast Gnome Lore and found 2 sites in "Depthless Deeps (159)", I just hit # and type "159" and it jumps to the correct province. It's not quite as quick as a "Go to province" button but it's quite close.
