Funnest Mods?
I am curious if all of you vets wouldn't mind sharing a bit of advice with me...
There are TONS and TONS of mods to choose from, as you know. The Gold CD has a ton, and the various links from this site...well, lets just keep it at a ton. So, vets, what are the funnest mods to play?
Thanks!

Re: Funnest Mods?
I personally like Pirates & Nomads and Proportions, and I'm working on a mod of my own (I call it the Xeo Mod, see the thread "Who wants to help with a mod?") which radically changes the tech tree and ship sizes...

Re: Funnest Mods?
I kind of like the Devnull Mod Version 1.61 and up. This Version has those awful Space Monsters by Rollo.
I also like Deathstalker's new mod, it has tons of new Ships/Components/Mounts.
I liked the P&N mod, but was disappointed that the pirates and nomad races were still tied to a planet for research. (this because research cannot be done via components)

Re: Funnest Mods?
Actually, P&Ns are more dependant on ship capture/analyze for their research needs...

Re: P&N research.
In is hard to wean yourself off of independent research, but it is entirely possible.
One thing for sure is that you don't want to fall behind in tech, because it is very hard to come back from a deficit.
If you are "borrowing" from multiple races at once, you can even be in a first-place position!
