About the flamethrower animation...
Now I believe the flame graphics were added in the v 5.0 patch. And it's good but one thing bothers me about it.
When I fire the flamethrower (say TO-55 flame tank) there is an animation of flames swirling but at the wery end of the animation there appears to be the start of cannon fire animation. Is this normal?
Looking at Icon0015.shp it appears all the other gun fire animations have 13 images, but the new flame effects have only 9.

When I get time, I will investigate.

Weapons fire in slot order, on a TO-55 1 is the 100mm main gun, 2 the flame thrower, 3 the AAMG (if not inactivated or in the case of weapon 3 - suppressed)
Did you try turning off weapon #3?. The one that runs an HMG animation sequence after the flame sequence of weapon slot 2?.
Cheers
Andy

Re: About the flamethrower animation...
No its not that.
If you set the Graphics delay higher and Z-fire the flamethrower you should see it. The flame animation is using pics from the cannon animation at the end.
Its not a huge deal though. Especialy if I'm the only one that has noticed it.

Well, I have noticed it but I never considered it a mistake of some sort. I have only seen flamethrowers in documentaries etc and the common image that comes to mind is one big eh, fire, followed by one or two much smaller ones. I thought that the current animation was accurate enough.
