Oh heck no, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. In a way all these stuff have made this game quite hard and more competitive (interesting) for me.
It's certainly more fun than my last game where I had a stellar start and everyone just sat there happily, waiting to get killed...
But anyway,
Damn you! Like I said.
Start next to a no PD guy, or gal?
Than your first neighbor Marg turns AI, than Jomon turns AI! And we decent folk have to fight for a living!
But seriously, I've forgotten how frustrating it is to have people go AI with no reason or explanation of any kind.
RL problems or not (like many I've had my fair share of dropping out or just vanishing with no explanation though I feel going AI is even worse than just staling away cause than you can at least try to find a sub.), I still thinks it's easier to just post if you're drooping out than to just turn AI.
And I can't even justify turning AI for first-timers either as anyone with half a brain should know not to do that in any MP game, ever.
Especially, like now (though frankly I think it's just as damaging at any point), when it's early game, the nation itself perfectly fine and not even in any wars.
And now we have two out of three top nations gobbling up the AIs to get even bigger, as if some of them, I won't name anyone *cough* Atlantis *cough*, didn't have enough luck.
Not that I blame them of course, it's no fault of theirs, I'd do the same. Why not play a good card you've been dealt.
But it really does upset game balance. Things might not (yet
) be critical in *this* game, though they're far from perfect, but I've seen games where victory was practically handed down due to such actions, which were as always vigorously defended like any other selfish actions by the culprit as their divine right to screw up the game and so forth.
Well, rant over.
Oh, right, the thing I came here to do.
Amhazir, it appears I'll be moving this Sunday, not tomorrow. And I will indeed need a bit of time, probably 24 hours of extension Sunday afternoon, Lama time.
