Wierd MR checks
In a MP im in i had a battle having 4 ember lords each with MR 24
One nature 3 mage with no gear managed to successfully charm 3 of them, 2 in turn 1 to 3 of the battle. And this happened before in a previous battle also with an ember lord.
Ember lords had the axe that drives them berzerk so my guess theres a bug with that. How can I check what happened? I really dont think that was good luck.
Game is with CBM 1.92

Sounds very unlikely indeed. Run dom3.exe with -ddd switch. The rolls will be in the log.

The dom3 random number generator isn't even close to random, so while a silly result like that doesn't happen often it's probably more likely than you'd expect.

Im trying to understand the log buts its like reading chinese. I dont know where to find the MR rolls here.
Ember lords had
Frost brand, axe of hate (i think thats its name), starshine skullcap, shroud of the battle saint, boots of quickness, anti magic amulet, and amulet of luck

One of his mages had the runesmasher and the eye of the void but also the armor of fenris so that one didnt cast a spell. of the rest only 2 had Nature 4 so no pen bonus there. If im reading it right spec_mr 14 means 4 penetration so other mages use the bonus of the berzerked mage like sharing items.

I cant even find any place in that massive log were anyone lost their MR roll. But it is interesting that the Charm spell apparently have penetration 14 rather than penetration 12 as most people though. Another interesting thing is that the new spell, "Hex" only got penetration 11.

My opponent read this and told me that he had one ivy king with a runesmasher.
Now I found it mixed with the vine ogres.
So that explains the pen 14.
I didnt know that spells came with added pen.
Where is that info?
so Charm has +2 pen.
