OP Filter
Is OP Filter works in last patch ?
I instaled it twice - second time about 3 or 4.04.2014 and looks like it doesnt work
I can select values, then aply to unit or entire formation, then I see range "Filtered" then send turn to opponent and ... when i got turn back all values are set to default, noone units is filtered all range is max ...

Re: OP Filter
Are you sure you are using the purchased/"CD" version of the game?
as what you describe is IIRC the behaviour of the free version.

Re: OP Filter
So, did something fire at you?
If so, the target unit set filtering off, or at least (with the free game version - Y key range) - sets range to that of the firing unit +1 hex.
In other words - if somebody shoots at your troops, they will want to shoot back. They don't care about your orders then.

Re: OP Filter
Are you talking op filter (0) or range (Y) ?
As Andy says they will ignore range settings if fired at that becomes the new max range
@ Andy thought you guys were taking a break go enjoy it.

Re: OP Filter
I'm talking about both situations
1) OP fire is RESET after turn is back from opponent
2) Range is reset nevermind somebody shots or not
3) I'm not a camel ...

Re: OP Filter
I'm just trying to gather all the information I can
You are saying in a PBEM game ( secure ?? or not ?? ) you have set up opfire for your units but when you get the turn back from him all of your settings are back to zero ?
Do you know if he is using opfire as well and is he running the CD version or the DL version ?
AFAIK this is the first report we have had like this and this is another situation like we have had recently where a bit of code we thought was solid and haven't touched in the last year appears to be misbehaving.
This could be a new flaw in the opfire routine but it might also be a corrupted PBEM file so we will have to run some tests ourselves.
Has anyone else who uses Opfire in PBEM noticed anything like this ?
Don

Re: OP Filter
OK, here's what we know
1/ Opfire worked in secure PBEM up to this latest patch, now it does not
2/ This bug does not affect the Opfire routine in regular games or scenarios or campaigns and it does not affect basic security PBEM games ( including PBEM campaigns ) so ONLY secure PBEM games are affected.
3/ The issue affects both winSPWW2 and winSPMBT
4/ At this time we have NO IDEA why this may have occurred.
5/ Don't expect a resolution anytime soon but there is no doubt that at some point we will resolve the problem and issue a correction. For now, Opfire is not functional in secure PBEM games
