Re: good mp3 player?
I need something not resource consuming. i couldnt care less about animation and stuff plugins, what i need is something *small* to stick to the top of the screen. i'll try Winamp. Hate WMP.

Re: good mp3 player?
Get WinAmp 2.91 or whatever the Last 2.x Version was. It consumes a lot less memory than 3.0 does.

Re: good mp3 player?
WinAmp before v.3 is best and not resource consuming. Get a skin (I don't remember exact name of it but there was something like 'OneBit' or 'OneByte' Amp). What is nice about it - it's FREE! and kicking

Re: good mp3 player?
I have some 1300 + mp3s so i had to switch to musicmatch for the organizational abilites. I love all the avs/plugins for winamp though, and i still load up playlists for some geiss fun all the time. Does winamp 3 have good library controls so you can find easily and sort by multiple categories? also, winamp doesn't have (or at least i'm pretty sure) burner support.
o and the supper tagging feature of Musicmatch is a joke, it comes up with various artist/some blues or country artist and then the albumn title is various artists. I can never tag tracks except when its a real cd, and in that case i don't need it.

Re: good mp3 player?
Yeah, WinAmp3 has good library controls and filing system. I don't do anywhere close to as many MP3's as you do though. So, for 1500+ MP3's, it might be that good.
