Emissive Armor and Armor Piercing weapons
Hmm, let's see, a Shard Cannon X does 35 damage... But Emissive Armor III blocks 30... and it transfers its emissive ability to all components as long as the armor is not destroyed! But with a Shard Cannon, the armor will never be destroyed, so the actual damage inflicted is a paltry 5... Nullspace weapons fare somewhat better (doing 40-60 damage)... perhaps Emissive Armor's ability should only transfer to other armor components? (At least when placed on an armor - I don't want to lose my Emissive Shield, which is a non-armor component with the Emissive ability, which gets transferred to all other components, armor or not... then again, nobody's ever played my mod anyway, but maybe someone can borrow the idea...)

Re: Emissive Armor and Armor Piercing weapons
The Emissive effect still works, bouncing the first "X" of damage, even if it is attached to armor, against "skips armor" weapons?
That is a heck of a feature...
Will study your mod now, Ed.

Re: Emissive Armor and Armor Piercing weapons
Emissive armor ability is completely ignored by armor piercing weapons. Shard cannon will do full 35 points of damage. Even if you assign EA ability to non-armor component, it will still be ignored by shard cannons and null-space weapons.

Yeah, that was an interesting idea. I wonder what ever happened to it...

Re: Emissive Armor and Armor Piercing weapons
Oh well, see, here I go again basing some rant on random speculation instead of actually testing things out for myself
Yep, I am Ed of Ed & Lee's Mod - if you want the latest Version, it's now called Xeo Mod - Version 3 is available at PBW, and a patch to 3.0.2 is available on my website ( www.geocities.com/edwardkolis)... sorry, there's STILL no AI, but sometime I'll get around to releasing another Version, probably after the next patch, whenever that is... (Will MM ever stop releasing patches??? Who knows?)
Hmm, have to do something about that emissive shield then to say that it is nullified by armor-piercing and armor/shield-piercing weapons...
IF, what interesting idea? The emissive shield? Just got the idea from MOO1 and figured out that it could be implemented in SE4...

I just meant the mod in general.
