Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
I have attached a partial Chaos shipset in the Mod section. Lacking even the rudiments of graphics skill but possessing both the miniatures and a digital camera... The ships still lack the heavy CV, the CA and the CVL. If those who want BFG will look at these and comment whether they meet the test for acceptable shipsets, I'll finish. Please provide feedback. Thank you.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
The Destroyer Portrait looks odd, and the Light Cruiser Portrait needs better lighting. Other than that, I'd say this is GREAT!
Ideas:
Cultists for Small Troop, Khorne Berzerkers for Medium Troop, and a Dreadnought for Large Troop.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
Yeah, the CL needs better light. I took the picture late in the day and the light was not good.
I'm a little confused as to the "odd" Destroyer. It is the regular Idolator model, can you be a bit more specific? Thanks for the comments.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
I don't know, when I was going through the images and got to the destroyer it was like "What the?!". Maybe it's just the design of the ship itself, but that image just rubs me the wrong way.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
Well I afraid that GW only makes the three escort sizes and while I agree it isn't the prettiest it will have to do unless GW puts a new one out.
I did get a cultist picture for the small troop, I found a Thousand Sun for the medium and I'm trying to get a good dreadnought pic for the Heavy. I'll use the Despoiler for the heavy CV, a Devastation for the CVL and a Hades for the CA. I'm clueless a the moment for fighters. Worst case I'll "borrow" one of the red races. Praetorian, Jraner and Toll-whatever to mix in the lesser structures. I'll paint a couple of thrss merchies next weekend and should be done in two weeks.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
Mac, good idea on the fighters, just "borrow" them
If you need help with graphics, I can try. Not much (learning) at 3D but I can colorize or add/change textures of bmp files (or jpeg).

Re: Battlefleet Gothic Shipset
Feel free to modify what I have. As I said, the problem with this approach is that I have to paint and photograph a physical miniature and that takes time. I'll add the Heavy CV and the merchies this weekend alomhg with troops. Should get to the balance by Superbowl.
