I love Mictlan, but let's not get carried away - any nation can be a blood nation as soon as it finds a Library. Ok so you might be unlucky and have to wait a while but you'll get a blood sage sooner or later. Use the first 5 slaves to make him a SDR and you're off. There are other recruitable blood mages too, if you're lucky.
