Satellite/PDC stacking

Question for y'all.

Given that under 1.49, satellites all appear in the same tactical sector, can you build multiplex tracking in just one satellite and have it apply to the whole 'stack' or do you need to incorporate it in each satellite individually

Logic says no, gameplay seems to suggest yes

The same also seems to apply to weapon platforms (I call them PDC's 'planetary defence centres)

Any ideas?
