Default Re: Stargate Movie??

You know what sucks....is the fact that a series has its ups and downs, but at least most..and i do mean MOST Scific Series are original in some form or another, but yet, we are constantly bombarbed with clones every year from modern genre.
IE: 1980's St. Elswhere (hospital drama), Hill Street Blues (Police Drama), L.A. Law (attorney Drama)
1990's ER (Hospital Drama), NYPD Blue (Police Drama), Law and Order (Attorney Drama)
I can keep going back further to the 1970's and 1960's I am sure, but that is moot.
The one thing is that TV executives dont seem to realize is that their anitquited (hope i spelled that right) way of thinking is outdated. If they just allow the writers to develop the ideas then we as the audience will follow it. Why then have Soap Operas Lasted for so long? cause their stories are long and convaluted, but their audience is not given that same Studio/TV exec stupidity..
This is just my two cents

Long Live Battle Star Galactica!!!!
