This was my first attempt at using the bump/glow and other texture features in DOGA. I used part of the Nebula10 picture from FQM-Deluxe for the background...I wanted something a bit more interesting than a flat black for this image
. It was interesting to render an image of something that had before existed solely as ink on paper

The original concept had the engines forward, but in a different configuration. The ship's class got it's current name when I moved the engine pods to their current position and arranged the removeable cargo sections to the trailing hull. BTW, this is a human-built ship..so if/when I put an AI onto the (eventually) completed shipset, it's not going to have some of the niftier racial traits (organic/temporal/etc.)

The engines didn't turn out quite as I had expected, but I like the effect that I have gotten. Btw.....splines? I'm not too familiar with the word.
