Point Defense Error

I'm in a high tech game and when my ships move in to attack and fire off the point defnese cannons it freezes with the following error

"Scan Line Index out of Range"

I'm playing On TDM+Fyron's Quadrent Mod Deluexe. Is this a data file error or something that can be fixed as i'm none to keen on starting again!
