Excactly which AI is that (and what setup are you using) ?

There is a vast difference in the quality of the AI's. Some are very stupid, others just a bit daft . Make sure you pick some decent ones (using latest Versions and patches) and give them a bonus. If it's still easy for you with High bonus, then you are ready for the big league (KOTH on PBW)
