To Alneyan
I've played 3 games with you now:
(1) A KOTH game. Somehow, I won it (and I know part of it was because you had a fleet order of "Don't Get Hurt" in a critical battle.
(2) A 2x2 challenge where you taught me some tricks and saved the day. Your ability to continue to colonize while facing large fleets amazes me!
(3) Our current game, another 2x2 challenge with full-tech (a type of game you admittedly revealed you didn't have much experience with). If we manage to win this game (crosses fingers), it will (again) be because of you.
You are a team player! I can't say that enough! You are great at communications. You gift planets, ships, and resources. We agree on plans. My ability? It seems that I am (only) an above average player who has the ability to spot other good players and then "use" them to help me get wins (after all, it was I who first touted Asmala when he was content to be a quiet player...the infamous "Challenge Game" where he, Lord Chane and I took on Geo, 1FSTCAT, and Rex and won).
I must confess to a bit of sadness, though. I look at your rating in the forum and it distresses me a bit. You only have one vote...from me. For a person to have only one vote for a forum rating who has displayed significant playing ability, good team play, a sense of humor, and helpfulness is surprising to me.
Well, I've probably embarrassed you enough...I'll let the thread go now with thanks for the fun I have had with you in our games. Thanks for the knowledge you have shared, and thanks for the jokes we have shared.
