Yeah, my intro to computers in high school was an IBM 360 mainframe. In those days, you got a *real* feeling of power sitting at the ops console to key in your code, while peons had to use the card reader. And then there were the poor schmucks who had to use paper tape on the PDPs, or worse, the front panel switches (a few years later) on the first IMSAI PCs ... |
