I think u already can do that (and with more fun) with fighters, I don't see the point in modding the game to make it like that :/ (IMHO)

The thing with fighters is that you can't control them with much precision.. they're pretty much drones that get themselves killed far too easily.

Besides, I really want to command fleet of capital ships, not fighters... again I don't know if the engine can handle displaying multiple models as a single unit.. but it's an idea anyway.. :/

I guess in my mod concept the original fighters will remain fighters.. but instead each fighter will now represent a squadron, like how SFC did it with the hydrans.
