Unit Designs not saving?

Is it a known bug, that enemy unit designs (fighters)are not saved in the database?
I engaged several fighter Groups in combat in a PBW game but they are not in the list of known enemy unit designs.
Mines do show up...

am i the only one experiencing this problem?
