while theurg acolytes only cost 90, and have a reasearch of 6 under 3 magic, real thueurgs are only 150 for a research of 9, which is something like 90% as efficient (higher, of course, if magic is less than 3). Given how much more combat power a theurg wields, I end up almost exclusively buying them, and only having a very few acolytes for menial tasks.
