COMING THIS WEEK!
CARIBBEAN CRISIS
It is time. The first Wild Team Campaign, "Caribbean Crisis," will be made available this week!
It is a hypothetical situation in October, 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The situation has become critical with the USSR making menacing moves in Germany, threatening yet another West Berlin blockade.
In Cuba, the possible Soviet threat at the jugular of the United States has forced President Kennedy to opt for an invasion.
The entire 82nd Airborne and a Marine Expeditionary Force are involved. In the campaign, you will take the role of the Marines.
Please note that this is two campaigns in one. When the campaign begins, you are at the disembarkation point in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where you will either attack from the sea or from the air.
From that point, you are going on a very unique adventure. Since the campaign is hypothetical, you will find yourself in some unusual situations. Nothing is out of reach of the possible, but you will encounter with battles that do not repeat themselves.
A decisive victory is possible. It’s not going to be easy. It’s up to you and your Marines to get the job done.
This is not a long, drawn out campaign. Each one of the two possible avenues of fighting will be four or five scenarios in length, depending on how well you do.
Fabio Prado has prepared a file that will automatically install this campaign into your campaigns folder. You can actually install this anywhere and then move the files to the folder if you wish.
The campaign will go into slot 4, which has been previously agreed upon with the SP Camo Team.
For those who have a problem with installers, a simple zip file of the campaign will also be posted at the Wargamer.
A special thanks to the current Wild Team, Tom DeShetler, Sgt Walrus, Andy Weeble Weave, Mad Italian Massimo Rocca, and Fabio "Tiger" Prado for their hard work on this labor of love.
