Then you may have a Codec that does not like MP3 format sound files. See the \game data\sounds\wav folder. Read the Sound_problems.txt file, and follow the instructions there to covert from MP� to WAV format.

(Converting to WAV format is easier than trying to track down any rogue sound codec you have installed.)
