SE4 Advanced Projectile Weapons
Here is the current list of researchable projectile weapons for SE4 Advanced. There is no Projectile Weapons tech area. These are the standard ship weapons that are revealed as you research the Weapons tech area. They are the most important weapons in the game from a modding standpoint because they determine the balance of all the other weapon families.

Gun Batteries are low damage, short range starting weapons. The Railguns range in size from 30-50kT, and the MACs range in size from 80-200kT. Railguns are equivalent to the stock DUCs. MACs are longer-range slow-reload weapons with no equivalent in stock.
By the way, MAC = "Magnetic Accelerator Cannon," a coilgun, which is less efficient than a railgun, but exerts less physical stress on the gun's structure since the projectile doesn't need to touch the sides of the barrel. Therefore it can be made larger than a railgun and it can eventually be used to fire antimatter projectiles.
