Newbie question - Demo of SEIV Gold

Isn't this the 1000th time we have to answer this question.
I agree that the game it isn't clear here, and I remember having this problem the first times I played SE4.
Hmmm... addind the explanation below to the comp descriptions may help.
I hope that the new manual that will come with Gold solves this and similar newbie questions.
