Default Tertiary roads question

In the Map Archive thread, DRG's question on one feature I do use often on my maps got me thinking... So there:

I do often want to emulate let's say "Tertiary" roads - communications better than your ordinary field track (bare earth in SP terms) but worse than Secondary roads. So far I have been using a combination of bare earth and interrupted secondary road (B in the picture) but it looks odd.
Was thinking also about using cratered sec. road, but that has the downside of not reacting to further bombardment (C).
Also useable would be sec. road with craters in every second hex (D) - a tad faster than the aforementioned two.

So I'm asking you all what solution do you like the best? Here's an example of how each option does look like on a map and below are the five options. Looking forward to see your opinions.

I have set the poll up to run till the end of month.
