Other pages (links at bottom) cover other years (Nov 1941 on being somewhat intense).
Some entries give exact tank strengths & types at that date.
3 CLY seem to have used all the Desert types - Crusader through Stuart, Grant and Sherman.

So US Army troops were on-strength in UK units before TORCH. (Presumably instructors on the AFV in question?).
