Default Re: CarCrash - EA Game - CBM - (Running)

Ok, we have three votes for quickening up the game hosting. I personally prefer a slightly slower hosting because my job sometimes has a habit of making me work late into the small hours, and then a daily schedule forces me to stale or submit token turns now and again, especially once the game gets past the early stages. Or just ask for delays all the time, which I don't really like doing.

But I certainly don't want to lose any players because of the current hosting schedule, and would also hate to think players are having less fun because of it. So with the vote currently at 3-0, I'm happy to cut the hosting back to 30 hours, but I'll wait a few hours to give the other players a chance to respond with their views. So please shout out now if you are against changing the hosting back to 30 hours.

I also need to sort out Abysia/Fantomen, since I didn't get a reply overnight to my PM.

@ Jazzepi - The idea of changing the hosting at specified turn numbers was so that people had some indication (well in advance) of what the schedule for the game was going to be.

Noticed one game recently where someone started up a game advertised at 15hour quickhost, but then refused to increase the hosting time when the game was on turn 40+, and simply stated "It said 15 hour hosting, you shouldn't have signed up if you couldn't keep up with it" as a defence, despite all the requests being received to increase it and the problems it was causing. So I wanted it to be clear at the outset that the hosting would increase as the game progressed, and at (to me) logical intervals.

Although next time I will certainly ask for a show of hands in advance of increasing the timer.
