They were undefended probably because someone put armies back to not provoke you to give sign that he does not want war

Keeping armies on a border means "do not attack me, I am ready" or "they just sit there, you know, cleaning their weapons"

Anyway, Eriu is either Baalz or someone that read his guide

Looks almost as cool as in Epic Heroes II.
