Default Re: Hunting tanks with popguns and large bore

If a tank has moved much at all & a platoon of autocannon IFVs opens up & hits it often suppresses so fire by it is highly inacurate or it cant. If it fires & they shoot again it is now most likely heavily suppressed, gauge the level & send in the troops for RPG shots or be a bit gamey & have all IFVs move up close for kill shots & target it. Even if they do not get a kill it will probably be retreating or routed & you can finnish it next turn barring other units causing problems.
If you have a more standard setup as in a company of IFVs supported by a platoon of tanks the IFVs will often save the day if your tanks miss by making his do like wise if you give a bit of thought to LOS.
In other than wide open terrain killing tanks with a combined IFV infantry attack is easily doable & if you managed to drop a bit of arty on it fates sealed, it can even be worth placing units to take rear shots at it if expect it to run.
