Possible Map Editor Glitch

I haven't seen where this has been addressed before, but when deleting hedgerows from a custom map, random single-hex height-10 hills pop up here and there, and can't be erased by clear terrain. Tried it several times on different maps, exited the game and tried again, same result. Anyone encountered this?
