I've been fiddling with this for a while. World of Warhammer is a beautiful map, but I found it very hard to play on. This is an attempt to make the map image more playable:
- smoothed the jagged region borders that are very ugly close up (the original image is pixelated at 2x scale so I ran it through a pixel art scaler:

- reduced the intensity of the colors (they were very distracting)
- redrew a lot of the borders to better represent the map data
- drew routes between caves
The map files included are from the "Squirrel Edition". I believe squirrel modified the start positions to be fairer and there is a version with dead seas. I know little about creating maps and what would work so I made no changes.
I included two map image files in the 7z. These new map images and the original are all interchangable. One is a version with very heavily muted colors (see 3rd screenshot for original/new/muted comparison).
