After some time away from the game and boards, I started playing again in last week and also looking around on the boards. I also looked at all my older threads and posts.
As some may recall, I asked for TI for the Merk 2b some time ago, and indeed the current version of the game has Merk 2b with TI from 1988...
Today I was suddenly curious about the TI for older IDF tanks, mainly the Shot(Centurion). Noticed that in the game, no shot is available with TI. Decided to look into it as I remembered stories about TI used by Shots in Lebanon during the 1980s.
Well, I found almost nothing. But only ALMOST. this
thread from an israeli military forum includes a discussion of the TI on centurions, and the participants are mostly ex-idf tankers. Still sketchy info but safe to say that at least some Shot Kal Dalet(Brak-Or) tanks had TI as early as 1986...
Not sure if this justifies upping vision on Shots to 40 or not...
