Havn't played yet but off the bat you missed the battalion 81mm mortar platoon (easy to do), the on-board artillery should be 105mm. I assume the 203's are suppose to represent naval gunfire, you should use naval guns as they have a LOT more ammo.
Being 1958 you may want to consider swapping out one of the infantry companies with amtracks for a vertical assault company with helos as by this time they'd been fairly well incorporated into the USMC.
