And I'm not a huge Monty fan, much prefer Bill Slim of the more famous British WWII Generals.

As a teenager I was lucky enough to know several British soldiers who fought in the early part of WWII in the desert under the excellent General Richard O'Connor and, later Claude Auchinleck, the latter of whom, they were very adamant, was a better Commander than Monty. I'm not about to argue with people who were there.
