Default NEW PBW GAME IDEA: Fleet Command

For real! If there is enough interest i will actively pursue this idea.

Basically you would start in a predetermined game map (kind of) where you would get a home system that has a one way warp point into the rest of the galaxy (like another 10 systems) where you have a few planets.

Your home planetary system would have tons of resource production and the shipyards would be optimized using the "shipyard add-on thingy" from SJ that makes shipyards produce hella fast (I don't know how to do that). Before the game started you would decide what kind of atmosphere you wanted the worlds to be and the mix of facilities on each of them (min/rad/org and super constructer facilities along wiht anythign else you wanted).

The tech tree would remain totally the same except for turning off WP openers/closers and adding the space yard guys.

The object would be to protect your planet that is in the "battlefield." You could colonize more worlds but they wouldn't coun't if your original planet was destroyed.

The idea would be how good are you at fleet combat and making alliances, also how good are you at planetary defense, the winner would either be the Last man standing or whoever got more points on system that was (-1 if you lose a planet you captured from enemy, +1 if you kill an enemy planet, +2 if you capture an enemy planet)

MODIFICATION: totally points based, +5 per planet colonized and held for .5 turns, +10 per planet held for 1.0 turns, +15 per planet held for 1.5 turns, +20 per planet held for 2.0 years, -15 per planet lost (this would apply to non-homeworld/startworlds), enemy kt you have destroyed/500 (or similar value) = pts, +10 per planet captured, +5 per planet glassed, +30 per enemy population sample, anything else? I would then have to join and not play or get a moderator who could have 19 partnerships and then keep track of things, everyone would have to be honest with reporting things, also the empires could be layed open at completion to make sure no one was cheating, I think the pt system could lend itself to that easily, although i hope most people are honest enough to make this work. I think this could be really cool, and a full mod that would allow greater weapons tech woudl be really cool, research (from a medium tech start) would add another level of complexity as people try to balance which facilities they want and how to do that right (the construction increase facilites would take hella long to build, like a base of 2.5 or 3 years). So yeah, enough yet?
