Wait wait wait... you have to pay them $45 to download the beta, and there is no demo??? That is just dumb.

Then, no multiplayer? That is even more dumb.

Stardock isn't known for being "Smart" when it comes to marketing sadly....

I recently saw somewhere Stars!Supernova went on hold until further notice. Apparently no publishers want to sink the cash to finish the game.

The OS/2 Version put in hooks to allow someone else to implemet TCPIP. There were, apparantly, no takers. Heh.

I don't want to take too much away from the programer's skill, but, I'm begining to understand, it's the gaming community that makes or breaks a game.

The old OS/2 game was not supposed to be modded, yet someone did it -- replaced the tech tree with a new one, based on a brand new sci fi tv show - Babylon 5. It was a kludge, not elegant like SE4's mods, but fun in it's own way.
