The Deluxe Version is better.
The Readme comes straight from the source. Go read it, and you will see. I didn't make the Readme for my health, you know.

I'd like the text as well. FQM Deluxe is just too huge for dial-up download -- and it needs the image pack as well? Well, maybe when I get high speed.
If Shrapnel wanted to burn it on a CD, I'd pay for it.

So go look at the readme. Go to
http://galileo.spaceports.com/~kazharii/
Then, go to the FQM section. Scroll down til you get to the Readme section, then select the FQM Deluxe Readme.

Re: Difference btwn FQM dlx and FQM std??
I just got Fyrons QMod deluxe{and the imagepaks} installed yesterday and had time to start a few test games.
It is beautiful! Tons of moons, image mod makes them pretty too, warp points are different too.
All in all, I think it adds a whole new, "WOW!", to exploration.
Where before, the game was basically a strategic war game, and it still is, now, at least for me while this is all new, each warp point, each quadrant, each planet and asteriod cluster is a new mystery.
The FQM has made exploration "exciting". Don't even think of using that "ancient race" trait, for a few games anyway, you'll ruin all your fun.

Of course you wrote it for your health. It was to protect your mental health from people like me who read, then re read and still don't get it.

Is it a violation of any rules / copywrite if a forum member burns several of the large mods and collection of ship sets to a CD and send it to someone?
