There used to be a bug where you could get planets in a nebula... that was cool, especially if your homeworld was there!

I see. So I can't create more than 100 stars to make the biggest colony in sphereworlds. Too bad.

You can probably mod this, and/or use the map editor.
You can also create storms on top of your existing planets during play.

I think that can still happen when using a loaded map and random location.
And IIRC once you create a shpereworld, the star ceases to exist so then you can make a new one No, unfortunately, if you create a sphereworld around it, you can't create more stars, because there is already one in the system. To create more stars, just destroy the one there is. However, you can't turn asteroids into planets anymore once you created a sphereworld, because there is no star, yes.

You can have up to 255 systems in a map. Go into Settings.txt in the Data folder and increase the Max Systems setting (near the top). Higher than 255 will cause an error in SE4, so don't make it higher than that.
