Oddly, I'm going to have to agree with the mouse here. Animists should not be counted as polytheists. There really are four separate Groups in the socio-religious evolution: animist, polytheist, monotheist, atheist.

Please note that I don't mean one faith is superior to the others, but that it is supposed that a meta-culture must go through the certain faiths if it is to arrive at other faiths.
