Re: OT: Life and Things
Q: Have you ever peed in the sink because someone was in the bathroom?
yeah, when I was six or so. But, has anyone peed while in the shower because they didn't go before hand.
Q:Ate dog food?
I was showing off and ate a dog choclate.
Q:Made a spam hamburger? (I plead the fifth)
I don't know about spam, but I sometimes used to fry slices of belgium (a sort of meat roll made from what wouldn't sell otherwise) or put them in the toaster.

That's not so bad. If it's quiet noone can pin it on you. What's bad is when you let one in an empty elevator, and then it stops on the next floor and people get on. No hiding the fact then.

Re: OT: Life and Things
Sometimes I think a big mistake was not beating the crap out of some people in elementary school. If I hadn't been such a pacifist, I might have avioded a lot of pain.

Re: OT: Life and Things
I was reading an article the other day that within 15 years it would be possible to build a "space elevator" that would remove the need for as many space shuttle launches - lighter equipment could be hauled up to orbit (up to 100 tonnes) and then dispesned with with shuttle craft that built in zero G would move around earth and moon system much more easily.

I hate to break it to you, but these are the same people who say they will have working transporters by the end of the decade. They are in the market to make money by doing stupid and impractical research on things they know people want but physics say cannot be done.

You need very strong carbon fibres to stop it collapsing under its own weight. It may well be possible eventually but I wouldn't expect it for another 100 years at least (and thats being optimistic)
Heres something I just remembered. Who has gotten up in the morning and got dressed, then gone out. All morning you feel stuffy and hot. Its not till lunch you realise you have your pyjamas on under your clothes.
